It’s about time! I’ll be going on vacation for a whole week, and believe me, it could not come at a better time. Between deadlines, a book release and blog tour, the stress of the Real Job, long untouched projects that need editing, and plots and stories I haven’t organized or altered, I find myself desperately needing a break. I have a lot of work to catch up on that I just haven’t focused on or had the time for, so this will be the week to catch up on it. My main goals will be editing one novel, and planning and plotting another while having a firmer grasp on the world. Both projects have changed significantly over the last couple weeks and I’ll want to ensure that they’re prepared for publication, since I don’t know what the results of my querying at the end of the month will be. I’m being careful about who I choose to email (I do want to write full time, which means I want an agent/agency who’s had success with authors that I’m aware of– go big or go home, right?), and hopefully, within the next few months I’ll at least have someone interested in getting me a contract. But we’ll see what happens. Right now, I’m just going to focus on the work in front of me.
So I’ll be absent for another review post (though I highly recommend The Faithful and the Fallen series by John Gwynne, which is epic fantasy at its very best), as well as Weekend Writing Warriors‘ Sunday post. I was delayed in posting my last one, but you can find it here. I won’t be entirely absent from the Internet since I still want to do some posting for the second Midnight Sky blog tour which begins on Tuesday and will run for a week.
And don’t miss out on the chance to enter one of the two running (and soon to be running) contests for Midnight Sky!
And that’s that! I should have a lot of exciting things regarding Amber Sky soon, my next release, which you get for free if you sign up for my newsletter. *points to the top right of the webpage* Until then, I wish you all the best, while I enjoy this…
